The passing of the 13th, 14th, and 15th amendment had the biggest effect on the Reconstruction Era. It had the biggest effect because, for example, the 13th amendment abolished slavery which meant that the slaves were now free. Also, the 14th amendment gave these freedmen citizenship and were now citizens of the U.S. Which brings us to the 15th amendment which said that these people could now vote as well.
